Between classes today I was reading the latest twitter updates when I came upon Tyra Bank’s tweet:
“I’m sharin’ my 10 tips to become CEO of UR life in my new blog post—no power suit needed! Check em out&keep me posted! http://bit.ly/znV5TC”
(Pause. Yes, I follow Tyra. I went through the “I-just-want-to-watch Top-Model-and-practice-my-smize-all-day” stage. I still can’t smize.)
Anyways, Tyra’s tweet made my think of a while. I not only never ever want to be a CEO of a business, but I also have absolutely no desire to be the CEO of my life.
While I wish I had a way with words like Landge/Nate do…I don’t. So, I’m going to let Jeremey Riddle in “Love Came Down” do it for me!
“If my heart is overwhelmed
And I cannot hear Your voice
I’ll hold on to what is true
Though I cannot see if the storms of life they come
And the road ahead gets steep
I will lift these hands in faith
I will believe, I remind myself of all that You’ve done
And the life I have because of Your Son”
I have got to let God lavish me in his love, ultimately being the perfect CEO. Plus, as Christ as my CEO I still don’t have to wear a suit! :)
